Musk calls for ‘wave of impeachments’ for federal judges

As Donald Trump begins his second term, his flurry of MAGA-aligned executive orders has ignited legal challenges.

Elon Musk, head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), urged GOP lawmakers to initiate a “wave of impeachments” against federal judges after a D.C. court ordered the Trump administration to restore health data taken offline.

The order, issued by Judge John Bates, followed Trump’s directive banning government endorsement of gender ideology. Bates sided with Doctors for America (DFA), ruling that removing the data was illegal.

Trump argued the judiciary was overstepping, but later said he’d comply with rulings, while appealing decisions that blocked his agenda. On Truth Social, Trump accused the court of ignoring DOGE’s findings of fraud and waste.

The court confirmed DOGE’s status as a federal agency, granting it access to sensitive records from the Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau—a decision Musk hailed as a “victory” on X.
