Pamela Salem, known for her roles in EastEnders and Doctor Who, has passed away at 80. Pamela died at her home in Surfside, Florida. Her Big Finish producer, David Richardson, described her as a kind and warm person, always bringing joy and positivity to the studio.
In EastEnders (1988–1989), Pamela portrayed Joanne Francis, who managed a wine bar fronting an illegal gambling operation. She also appeared in Doctor Who as Professor Rachel Jensen in The Robots of Death (1977) and Remembrance of the Daleks (1988), reprising her role in the spin-off Counter-Measures.
Pamela also featured in ER, The West Wing, and several 1990s sci-fi films. She was married to actor Michael O’Hagan from 1983 until his death in 2017.
