Faviola Rodriguez was just 2 years old when she died in 2018 while under her mother’s boyfriend’s care. Since then, her mother, Saundra Gonzales, has dealt with items being stolen from Faviola’s grave at Masonic Cemetery in Las Cruces, New Mexico. After asking the cemetery to monitor the site, a nearby family with a camera on another headstone made a surprising discovery.
The family had installed the camera because their son’s killer was still at large and suspected of vandalizing the grave. While reviewing footage, they saw something alarming: a little girl wandering the cemetery at night. Concerned she was lost, they brought the images to the cemetery staff.
A worker immediately recognized the girl and led them to Faviola’s grave. The next day, the family shared the image with Saundra, who burst into tears, saying, “I know that is my daughter.”
The final image showed the girl walking away with a tall man. Saundra believes Faviola was there to guide him to heaven, noting both had tragic stories and neither had received justice.
