A Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputy identified as Meredith Portillo has been killed in a car accident in the early hours of Sunday, July 21st July 2024.

Portillo, 20, was in a black 2024 Ford Mustang heading south on the far south side of San Antonio when a wrong-way driver in a F-150 crashed into her car close to Loop 1604 just before 2 a.m.

The driver of her vehicle and Portillo were both pronounced dead on the scene, as was the wrong way driver.
