A couple who had been married for 48 hours, have been identified as two of the three people killed in a car crash last Sunday in the US state of Tennessee. At around 3am on Sunday morning officers attached to the Knoxville Police Department were called to a crash site, where they found newlyweds Jessiah Plemons, 31, and Lily Rose, 25, as well as Madison Davis, 23.

All three were pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement, police said it is believed the Dodge pickup truck the three were travelling in struck a guardrail on the ramp on Weisgarber Road, and then got out of the vehicle.

While Mr Plemons, Ms Rose and Ms Davis were standing next to their vehicle, a Chevrolet struck their pickup truck and all three of them.
