Shocking insult hurled at caring little girl, 10, who tried to complain about bullies, then killed herself

A caring 10-year-old girl who tragically took her own life after being picked on by school bullies warned her parents not to intervene because she was labeled a ‘tattletale.’

Autumn Bushman was found unresponsive from an apparent suicide at her Roanoke, Virginia home last month.

The fourth grader at Mountain View Elementary School had been targeted for weeks by warped bullies prior to her death, her parents said.

The youngster was victimized because she stood up for other children who had been bullied, they added.

Her devastated mom Summer Bushman, 36, described the sickening moment she broke down her daughter’s bedroom door on March 21 and found her inside.

She initially contacted the school to inquire about the situation, but was only told that the situation was ‘handled,’ she told The Washington Post.

When she and her husband asked their daughter if she wanted them to step in before the bullying escalated, Autumn begged them not to because she was already being branded a ‘tattletale,’ Summer revealed. It is unclear if students or teachers called her that.

The grief-stricken parents have been left with so many questions about what led up to their daughter’s death while the police and school district investigate.

They have yet to have a chance to sift through Autumn’s cellphone as authorities took it shortly after she passed.
