Retailers could face up to one year in jail and a $4,000 fine.

Another proposed bill seeks to ban major retailers like Walmart, Target, and CVS from selling sex toys altogether, restricting sales to sex shops or adult venues.

Critics, including media outlets and health experts, argue that these efforts represent an overreach into citizens’ private lives and amount to a moral crackdown backed by Trump-era Republicans.
