American shoppers urged to buy these 10 essential items before prices skyrocket from Trump tariffs

Americans are being urged to stock up on ten key items as prices are expected to rise sharply following President Donald Trump’s sweeping new tariffs.

Since returning to office in January, Trump has introduced multiple import tariffs. On April 2, he announced a global 10% baseline tariff, with much higher rates—up to 46%—on 60 countries he labeled “worst offenders,” including Japan, South Africa, and Vietnam. The new tariffs took effect April 5.

Experts warn that everyday goods will become significantly more expensive, prompting a rush to buy affected products. The S&P 500 dropped $2 trillion in market value, and the US dollar hit a six-month low as global markets reacted to the trade restrictions.

The ten items consumers should consider buying in the US as soon as possible are:

  • Bananas
  • Avocados
  • Coffee
  • Tea
  • Cars
  • Furniture
  • Washers
  • Dryers
  • Clothes
  • Toys

Former President Barack Obama criticized the tariffs, expressing concern over both economic impact and broader government overreach. While calling the policy harmful, he said his deeper concern lies in how the government is threatening institutions and civil liberties.
