Toddler left unresponsive after consuming popular drink as experts issue urgent warning for ‘dangerous’ beverage

A UK mom is warning parents after her four-year-old daughter, Marnie, fell unconscious from drinking a slushy at a children’s party.

Kim Moore rushed Marnie to the hospital when she became “floppy and pale” just minutes after consuming half a cup of the popular iced drink. Doctors found her blood sugar levels dangerously low, and she remained unconscious for 25 minutes, staying in the hospital for three days.

Moore believes Marnie suffered from glycerol toxicity, which can cause headaches, sickness, and loss of consciousness. She now calls slushies “poison” and argues they shouldn’t be sold to kids under 12.

Her warning aligns with experts advising against slush-ice drinks for children under eight after 21 reported cases of illness linked to glycerol.
