A Delta Airlines plane crash-landed and flipped at Toronto Pearson Airport on February 17.
All 76 passengers and 4 crew members survived, though 18 were injured, some seriously.
“We are very grateful there was no loss of life,” said Deborah Flint, CEO of Greater Toronto Airports Authority.
Passenger John Nelson described the terrifying moments:
🔹 Harsh winds, snow-covered runway, no warning.
🔹 Plane hit the ground hard, veered left, and tumbled upside down.
🔹 “We smelled jet fuel. People yelled, ‘Get out!’”
Emergency teams responded swiftly, preventing further disaster.
