Since regaining office, President Donald Trump has signed numerous executive orders targeting undocumented immigrants in the US, aiming to deport everyone without proper documentation. Former ICE director Tom Homan has been appointed as the administration’s “border czar” to oversee these efforts.
Homan confirmed that all individuals in the US illegally are potential candidates for deportation, with Trump deploying the military to secure the Mexican border and “send a strong signal that our border’s closed.” Deportation efforts will prioritize public safety and national security threats but will expand to include others over time.
An executive order titled “Protecting American People Against Invasion” accuses the previous administration of allowing “millions of illegal aliens” into the US, posing threats to national security, committing crimes, and costing taxpayers billions. The administration emphasizes that enforcing immigration laws is essential to ensuring the safety, security, and economic well-being of Americans.
