During The Wildfires In Los Angeles, The Business Magnate Explains How The “Miracle” House Survived “Untouched”

A US businessman, David Steiner, revealed why he believes his Malibu villa survived the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles that destroyed his neighborhood. Over 20,000 acres and more than 5,000 homes and businesses were lost in the fires, one of the worst in the region. While many celebrities lost their homes, Steiner’s $9 million property remained standing amidst the devastation.

When Steiner received a video from a contractor showing flames engulfing his street, he assumed his three-story home was gone. However, reports and photos later confirmed his mansion had survived, towering intact while neighboring properties were reduced to rubble.

Steiner credits the home’s unique design for its survival. Built with earthquake-resistant features, the 4,200-square-foot house has a fireproof roof, stucco and stone exterior, and deep pilings for stability. He admitted he never anticipated a wildfire reaching the Pacific Coast Highway, let alone his property, but the construction proved resilient.

Although grateful, Steiner acknowledged his fortune compared to others who lost their homes and memories. “I lost a property, but others lost their homes and family memories. My heart goes out to them,” he said.
