Elvis Presley’s 1962 private jet has finally been sold, and the interior is breathtaking.

Elvis Presley, famous for his music and style, also had a flair for decorating. His iconic Lockheed Jetstar plane is a testament to this. Purchased in 1962, the jet features stunning hardwood paneling, carpet, and crimson velvet chairs. Elvis owned the aircraft for over 35 years until his death in 1977.

The plane, along with other private jets like the modified Convair 880 “Lisa Marie” and another JetStar “Hound Dog 2,” showcased Elvis’s opulent lifestyle. After his death, the Jetstar remained in Roswell, New Mexico, for over 30 years. Despite some fading exterior paint, the interior remains in decent condition.

Inside, the plane boasts plush red velvet chairs, wooden panel walls, and a “high-tech” television. There’s a spacious main room and a tiny kitchen, complete with a microwave. The restroom features more velvet and a sumptuous sink.

In January, the plane was auctioned for $260,000 at the Florida Mecum Kissimmee Collector Car Sale. The buyer, who placed telephone bids, remains unidentified. Elvis’s luxurious taste in travel is evident in this unique aircraft.
