The ongoing feud between the royals has significantly impacted King Charles’ relationship with his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who received royal titles after Queen Elizabeth’s passing. While Charles regularly sees Prince William’s children, he has not been able to bond with Harry’s kids.
According to the Mirror, Charles has discussed visiting Harry and his family in the U.S. at some point. Royal expert Tom Quinn shared that Charles is eager to visit and hopes to build a relationship with Archie and Lili, though logistical challenges remain. Charles is worried Archie and Lilibet will not remember him as the warm grandfather he wishes to be.
However, a visit to Britain is complicated by Meghan Markle’s concerns about security, as she doesn’t want her children visiting without proper protection. After stepping down from royal duties, Harry and Meghan lost their taxpayer-funded royal security.
Lilibet celebrated her 3rd birthday in California, with celebrities like Orlando Bloom and Oprah in attendance. No British royals were present, but Charles sent a birthday gift and message. Quinn also revealed that the King has a more significant gift planned for Lili, similar to the handmade swing he gave Prince George, but he’s waiting for the family feud to settle.
Harry reportedly didn’t invite his family to the party, knowing they wouldn’t attend, but feels sad that his children can’t bond with their cousins due to the ongoing rift.
Many hope the royals can reconcile in the future.
