I Saw a Child on the School Bus Hitting the Back Window and Yelling for Help

As Mollie drove home in the rain, overwhelmed by losing her job and her recent breakup, she noticed a little girl on a school bus frantically banging on the window. Concerned, Mollie chased the bus, fearing something was terribly wrong. She cut in front of the bus to force it to stop and rushed inside, only to find the girl, Chelsea, struggling to breathe due to an asthma attack.

The bus driver was unaware of the situation due to the noise, and the other children were laughing, not realizing the seriousness. Mollie desperately searched for Chelsea’s inhaler, finally finding it in another child’s backpack, who had hidden it as a joke. After using the inhaler, Chelsea’s breathing stabilized. Mollie comforted her, staying by her side until they reached Chelsea’s home.

Chelsea’s parents, initially confused, were deeply grateful when they learned what had happened. They offered Mollie a ride back to her car and, during the drive, learned about her job loss. Chelsea’s mother, Mrs. Stewart, mentioned a job opening at the family’s business and invited Mollie for an interview.

The next morning, Mollie felt hopeful for the first time in weeks. After sharing everything with her mom, she called Mrs. Stewart to set up the interview. Mollie’s actions had not only saved Chelsea but also opened the door to a new opportunity, reaffirming that when one door closes, another opens.
