When Elena became pregnant, she and her husband Michael were thrilled. They prepared everything for their baby’s arrival. However, on the day of the delivery, Michael didn’t answer his phone, and Elena gave birth without him. Worried, she asked her mother to check local hospitals, fearing something had happened to him, but her mother assured her he was fine.

Two days later, Elena returned home with her newborn daughter, Emily, only to find Michael missing and some of the baby’s things gone. A note in the nursery revealed that Michael had left for good, urging her to ask her mother why.

Elena confronted her mother, who calmly explained that Michael had been having an affair with his wealthy boss. Despite her mother’s warnings, Michael chose to leave rather than end the affair.
